Funding Crisis

Email sent January 22, from Gillian Taylor, Arts Council England, South West, concerning 2008-11 funding:

"I am writing to let you know the timetable over the next two weeks for our decision-making about rfo funding for 2008–11.
I’m sending this email to all of our rfo lead contacts and marketing contacts.
Regional Councils across the country are meeting during this week to consider the responses they have received and to finalise the proposals made in December. National Council meets next week to make final decisions and set the Arts Council budget for the next three years.
Following the National Council meeting, we will be writing to all regularly funded organisations to inform you of the decision about your funding level. We will be sending these letters by special delivery on Thursday 31 January so that you receive your letter on Friday 1 February. A signature will be required to acknowledge receipt. We will also email you a copy of this letter on Friday 1st.
You might also like to know that on 1 February, we plan to issue a press release and to publish information about all our funding decisions on our website. We may be in touch with you about the content of the press release in advance.
